Why it works for team building

A team building scavenger hunt gets people moving, talking and competing without a facilitator reading off a clipboard. It scales from a small team to the whole company.

No app, no setup

Everyone plays in the mobile browser and starts within about 30 seconds. No installs, no IT tickets, no one stuck at the door before the game starts.

Mixes people up

Checkpoints spread across the venue pull people out of their usual cliques and into new corners of the building, talking to colleagues they'd otherwise never cross.

Live leaderboard

Every find updates a real-time leaderboard. The competition is what keeps a team building scavenger hunt moving, all the way to the last checkpoint.

Tap, don't scan

A single tap on a hidden NFC tag opens the challenge. No camera to launch, no tiny QR code to line up in a crowded room.

You see it live

Watch finds, players and hotspots as they happen from an organizer dashboard, then take home a full post-event report.

Rewards they keep

Points convert to real merch in an in-app store, so the winners walk away with something tangible instead of a slide on a screen.

How a team hunt runs

01

Hide the checkpoints

We map your venue and place NFC tags and QR checkpoints across rooms, floors and the spaces you want people to explore. Hidden challenges and bonus drops keep it from getting predictable.

02

Everyone taps to play

Your team taps a tag, signs in on their phone and starts finding checkpoints — no app, no briefing slides, no queue at a registration desk.

03

You watch it live

Follow finds and movement in real time on the dashboard, call out the leaders on the spot, and get a full report when it's over.

Team building scavenger hunt FAQ

Does a team building scavenger hunt need an app?

No. The whole game runs in the mobile browser. People sign in and start tapping checkpoints within about 30 seconds, on the phone they already carry.

How big a group can play?

From a small team to the whole company. We've run events with hundreds of players and more than 100 checkpoints across a single venue, and it scales down to a single floor just as well.

Can we run it as teams instead of individuals?

Yes. We've run team-based editions — the NOVA IMS Spring Bootcamp ran with seven teams of hunters. Tell us how you want people grouped and we set the leaderboard up to match.

Will it actually get people talking?

That's the point of spreading checkpoints across the venue. People leave their desks and their usual group, end up at the same hidden tag, and start comparing scores. The competition does the work a forced icebreaker can't.

What do we get afterwards?

A full post-event report: total finds, unique players, the busiest checkpoints and time-of-day patterns, plus the live dashboard during the event itself.

Can we add our branding or sponsors?

Yes. Checkpoints can sit at partner stands, product displays or branded corners, and the rewards in the store can be your own merch. It works for an internal day and a client-facing one alike.
